Brooks Brown was a student at Columbine High School during the tragic school shooting on April 20, 1999. He was a friend of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two shooters responsible for the massacre. Brown had a tumultuous relationship with Harris, who had harassed and threatened him in the past.
Brown was one of the first people to inform authorities about Harris' violent tendencies and threats of harm. He was also one of the few students who testified in court about the warning signs leading up to the shooting. Brown has since become an advocate for school safety and has spoken out about his experiences during and after the Columbine shooting.
In his book, "No Easy Answers: The Truth Behind Death at Columbine," Brown shares his personal account of the events leading up to and following the shooting. He continues to be an active voice in the conversation around preventing gun violence and ensuring the safety of students in schools.
